Trade Schools

Community colleges in California can be a supportive and affordable option for students and families.

There are many grants in place for first-year community college students that provide tuition assistance.  Community colleges tend to offer a wider range of support services and smaller class sizes depending on the institution.

There are 115 community colleges in California and 10 community colleges in the San Diego area. These community colleges partner with state colleges and universities to create programs that are easy to transfer into after earning an associate's.

Each community college houses a department for accessibility services where students can register to receive accommodations depending on their needs.

The San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) offers an additional level of support in partnership with the Department of Rehabilitation.
