What is the Regional Center?

The San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) is one of 21 regional centers in California that provides support and services to uniquely-abled persons. This is thestarting point to determine eligibility for you or a loved one to receive services.

Services for Children Ages 0-3:

Early Intervention Services are based on the needs of the child. Services may include:

Who qualifies?
​
- Any San Diego or Imperial County resident believed to have a developmental disability may apply for services. Eligibility is determined by the social, medical, and psychological information gathered during the intake process.

*The Regional Center recommends a CalAble account for individuals receiving public benefits. (Example: Supplemental Security and Medi-Cal). Individuals with a disability that occurred before age 26 are eligible to open a CalAble account.

What is the Department of Rehabilitation?

The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy, resulting in employment, independent living, and equality for individuals with disabilities.
